WRITETOSCREEN.COM

At Writetoscreen.com, we don't believe in analysts. No one wishes to be analyzed.  But we do believe in development.  Life is a series of developments, growth and learning experiences.  That's how we've evolved into produced screenwriters and producers.

You have to invest in your business.  There isn't a business owner that hasn't invested in their business.  Writers are not exempt.  Once you've qualified yourself, we can move you toward a development executive.  We know budget and we've taken that into consideration.

Note:  We do NOT get any kickbacks for recommendations, or push any products.  You will come across links for software or other products on this site.  These are products we use and recommend.

  • Development Tiers:  Where do you fit in?

      • Writers who have no idea how to start a screenplay, what structure is or any elements that create a screenplay.
      • Writers who have the never written a screenplay, but have ideas or who have the start of a screenplay.
      • Writers who have completed a screenplay but have never had a professional look at the script.

    • INTERMEDIATE WRITERS:
      • Writers who have completed a script and have had coverage, but need developmenet.
      • Writers who have received good coverage and need to move forward.
      • Writers who have worked with development executives and need to query.

    • ADVANCED WRITERS:
      • Writers who have submitted their work to agents, producers, executives, etc.
      • Writers who have an agent or managers but aren't moving.
      • Writers who have garnered interest from production companies.
      • Writers who have conncections and no idea how to utilize them.

Coverage and the readers that provide them.

We have the top of the line studio readers and we are the first to make them genre specific.  Having a producer, agent, manager or director relate to your story is very powerful.  Scripts are not always purchased because those who buy them can relate to them, but they know the audience will.  That is why we've chosen studio readers who are "genre specific."

When to submit for coverage?  You may submit for coverage when you feel your script is ready to be marketed to the executives.  If you are a first time writer, chances are you don't wish to go this route, but we won't stop you if you wish.  For years we've seen writers throw in the towel because of bad coverage.  That is why we suggest you go into development process first.

If you are ready, so are we.  Here are your coverage options and here is our promise to you.  Should your script get recommended in the standard four catagories of dialogue, theme, formating and viability?  We will assist you in moving your script into the hands of the producers we believe are best suited.

Coverage:

Coverage is different from Development.  As a rule studio readers and traditional coverage focuses on evaluating how appropriate a given script is for the production company and the quality of the writing overall.  Our coverage is intended to give you a preview of how a studio reader is likely to respond to your script.

With Writetoscreen's development services you'll get detailed notes on your script's strengths and weaknesses and very specific advice on how to make your script stronger and therefore more easily sellable.  Be very clear on what you're ready for.
